2 #734 Corsair 620W Modular Power Supply Video ReviewCorsair 620W Modular Power Supply”Modular power supplies are fantastic because they enable you to use only the leads necessary for your particular setup. This means a reduction in the amount of cables inside the case which not only looks great, but also increases airflow. The Corsair 620 watt power supply meets today’s standards, protections, has Active PFC, and has 80%+ efficiency. It also comes with a quiet 120mm fan and is NVIDIA SLI and ATI CrossFire ready. I have recently upgraded my computer and therefore needed a new power suplly and because i was so impressed by the corsair hx620w i have ordered the HX850W. Corsair has the best PSU’s with the highest efficiency and are 80+ certified.

  18. limbergerjohannis Says:

    Don’t worry this …
Don’t worry this psu will even power three 4850. The 18 amp is for one rail each rail. The combined amperage will be +/- 50 A.

  19. warnahati Says:

    Hi everybody. I …
Hi everybody. I feel so dumb because.. I still don’t get it.. about the amps on the 12 rail(s). I was so happy cos I got this corsair 620 secondhand to go with my soon arriving sapph.hd4850, 512, vapor-x. Now I hear this about it needing 30 amps on the 12-rails. And I read: +12v1, +12v2 and +12v3 : all 18A. How much amps do I have? Only 18 (too weak), or can you simply say 3×18=54A…? Maybe to many it is crystalclear.. to me it’s not. Thanks in advance to anyone telling me this.

I raccomend you the Corsair HX750W, it’s new, cost only a bit more than the HX620 has a lot of power, 62A on the 12v and it’s module! OO.. and it’s 80Plus Silver! ;)

  22. ams2990 Says:

    You left out your …
You left out your CPU, which draws about as much power as a graphics card. Listing the cooler doesn’t matter as it draws nearly no power. I estimated your power draw with a Q6600, and it came to about 775W, so go with an 800W supply, just to be safe.

Which one is better to go for performance and going crossfire with..cuz the TX650W is also cheaper and a newer product than the HX series. :-S…Help!

  25. ballebanan Says:

    Even though the …
Even though the label says it has triple rails, in practice it is a single rail. There is no separate over current protection. This was confirmed by reviewers and even Corsair techs online. So there is only one big 50A single rail on the HX620W.

This was because at the time it was manufactured for Corsair, it was meant to be triple rail, but by the time the final product was shipped, the certification, documentationand labels were already printed, so it was too late to change them.
